Our aspiring teacher Ms. Aspen has began teaching her unit "Force and Motion". Ms. Aspen is doing a terrific job presenting essential questions and having the students explore to find the answers to these questions:
- "What is Motion?"
- "How Does Force Effect Motion?
Students have been: listening to stories, engaging in conversations, doing experiments, writing their predictions and claims in their science journals, and creating STEAM projects to demonstrate their learning.
In addition, Ms. Aspen celebrated Dr. Seuss last week. The students enjoyed listening to Dr. Seuss books and creating their own rhyming "Cat in the Hat" hats. It is fun to be silly!
Looking forward, students will continue their investigations about "Force and Motion" until we conclude this unit right before Spring break. Then we will begin our unit on "Life Cycles". Our kindergartens will be experts in many areas of science by the time the year is through.
